My name is Marco and I am the owner and lead designer of DMR Design. I have been designing and decorating for over 20 years or so. I will always keep learning about the design industry despite my extensive experience. I believe just because you have done it for some time, you can always grow and improve the design process.

I studied partly in Europe and finished my degree in Canada to learn all aspects of my design style to bring my company to where it is today. I started in the fashion industry learning about textiles and how it changes from season to season. Through this, I have been able to create a timeless design for each of my client’s homes.

The combination of the fashion and design industries is a winning one. Most of all, I have grown to understand the needs and desires of each of my clients. The biggest factor for me during the years is that we need to understand the way each one lives and it will not be the same for all clients.

I like to educate each of my clients and provide a guide for them to understand the process whether it be a full renovation, re-design, or decorating a room or an entire home. The whole equation for me is about the flow of each room and allow them to exist in harmony even though they are located in different areas of a house.

Walking into someone’s home always helps me understand the client’s needs and vision. My efforts always aim to take away the burden from the client when they hire our team and allow them to enjoy the transformation before their eyes. I strive for results that ultimately improve the lives of my clients, so I do it with passion and full dedication.

At the end of the day, I always believe my company DMR Design offers “Your Way of Living”.

I have been with DMR since 2015 but had to take a short break until my children went into school full-time. I have been back with DMR Design since 2019 and have loved every minute of learning and creating amazing homes for our clients.

The diversity of each client is what I really enjoy and also when we start to see our projects come to life. Since I have worked for this company, I love how diverse and laid back it is, and no project is too big or too small. Just understanding the process from the beginning to the end is what we enjoy with our clients. Most of our clients end up being a big part of us because of the trust that results from allowing someone into your home to do what they do best; design and decorate.

Before I started with DMR Design I have always loved home decor and I also owned a jewelry design business where I made custom jewelry.

My absolute favorite thing about working with DMR Design is our install day, where the clients need to be out of their home to allow us to do our thing, and when they come back the home is transformed and they can see everything for the first time. It’s just like a TV show, and trust me, it’s a big process to get things together to finally reveal it to the client that has been waiting for all the finishing touches over the previous months.

If I’m not with DMR Design working away creating something beautiful, I am with my husband and children, or at the barn with my two horses. I am so blessed to be a part of this incredible team and cannot wait to be revealing the stunning transformations ahead of us.

We are Marie and Sue who are passionate about transforming spaces through paint and wallpaper with over 25 years’ experience.

Our company has been self-contracted with many DMR Design projects and we have become a team with them to assist in the completion of their projects.

We are grateful to be working next to such a creative team. If we aren’t painting, you can usually find us with our children and grandchildren creating precious memories. Sue; husband Chris, three children, and four grandchildren. Marie; three children and three grandchildren. There is no job that is too big or too small. We have worked with Marco for over 7 years, and are still amazed at his design talents and how he can create new spaces for his clients.

That being said, we also transform old furniture pieces and make them new again with any style and design tailored to the client. Sanding, new paint, changing out hardware, and also modifying any piece to suit your vision is what we do best.

We care for each of our clients and we take great pride in our educational opinions on paint colors and full communication with our clients. We also work on sensitive timelines and we always deliver even if we have to go above and beyond to make this happen.

We believe a team of accredited and dedicated people is what makes a team a team. It’s about making what you see on paper come to reality.

My name is Phil and I have been working on renovations and contracting since 1994. I have many experiences with the following; insurance restoration, renovations, property maintenance, custom design, and retrofit projects, basement development, and structural landscaping.

I have been working with DMR Design for over 4 years now and we have teamed up many times with their projects and the results have always been a positive one for me. I feel like we are not just a team but a family that helps each other with problem solving and solutions.

I am very friendly, professional, proactive and I think “outside the box” towards workable solutions in design, structure, and budgets. I enjoy making a positive impact on people’s lives.

I specialize in difficult “retrofit” situations. I am calm, collected, and focused when it comes to getting any job done in a timely manner. I am also a big believer to turn difficult and overwhelming situations into easy and “breathable” ones.

I always learn something new even after 24 years I will allow constructive criticism to be at a better learning point in my work and not take it personally.

I am a third-year Interior Design student at Mount Royal University and a freelance artist. I am a rising designer with a passion for creating and an eye for detail. I am dedicated to my work and I look forward to exploring new opportunities and challenges.

I have been working with DMR Design for under one year and I can already feel a sense of family within the team. I assist the team with projects such as seasonal installations and website design. It has been an incredible experience learning from Marco and the talented DMR team and I have grown as a designer immensely throughout the time working with them. I feel grateful to be working alongside this creative team with extensive experience.

Throughout this process, I have explored what it means to be a great designer. It has been a rewarding experience to see the pure joy that DMR Design brings to their clients and their new homes. I look forward to seeing and assisting in more amazing transformations.
